DEMF Venue and Partial Lineup Revealed! [14 Apr 2006|05:17pm]

rickorion
FUCK YAH!!! Look at this lineup so far. Quite possibly the best lineup ever.

-------------------------------------------------------------
Chrysler Jeep Superstores and Motor City Dodge Dealers Back Detroit’s Electronic Music Festival; Paxahau Promotions debuts artist lineup and confirms Hart Plaza as Festival’s home

DETROIT- Just three weeks following their selection by the City of Detroit to produce Detroit’s Electronic Music Festival in 2006, Paxahau Promotions Group today announced Chrysler Jeep Superstores and Motor City Dodge Dealers as the event’s title sponsors, revealed a lineup of artists and confirmed that Hart Plaza will remain home to the international event slated for May 27-29.

“Our entire team has been working tirelessly to create a festival that truly represents and celebrates electronic music, and at the same time is a financially sound and viable event,” said Jason Huvaere, Paxahau’s Managing Director.

“We are thrilled to have Chrysler Jeep Superstores and Motor City Dodge Dealers on board as our title sponsors,” said Huvaere. “They understand that the festival is part of the cultural fabric of Detroit, and they see its significance internationally and within the electronic music community. We look forward to a longstanding relationship with these organizations.”

City of Detroit Chief Administrative Officer Lucius Vassar commended Chrysler Jeep Superstores and Motor City Dodge Dealers for their support of the event, saying “It’s good to see these two business associations that are a part of Detroit’s automotive heritage partnering with an event that has emerged from our city’s rich music and cultural heritage.”

“I commend Chrysler Jeep Superstores and Motor City Dodge Dealers for recognizing the value an event like Detroit’s Electronic Music Festival adds to the cultural and tourism development of a city. With these types of partnerships in place, I expect the event to flourish and continue to draw people from all over the world here to Detroit,” said Vassar.

After carefully examining several festival venue options, Paxahau today announced the 2006 event will remain in Downtown Detroit’s Hart Plaza. “We considered several venue options in order to really determine the best location for the event, for fans, and for the City of Detroit,” said Huvaere. “When it comes to infrastructure and ambience, it’s tough to beat Hart Plaza.”

Fans won’t be disappointed by the 2006 Festival’s artist lineup, which features legendary ambient producers Orb, Detroit/Windsor/Berlin techno legend Richie Hawtin, Chicago House Music DJ and Producer Derrick Carter, and past festival directors Kevin Saunderson, Carl Craig and Derrick May.

Turn table and mixer [15 Apr 2005|01:47am]

miniaturize

I bought it for 400, selling for 50. Numark Pro SM 1, Nearly perfect condition, aside from a couple minor scratches on tne brass from moving. The sound is still prjected as it wads the day I bought it. It's wonderful for a beginer, Made things very smooth for me when I started out. Much better than the mixers from the dj in a boy kits, and a better deal. Also have two vintage digital-style technic turntables, selling one. 70. Needle included.

Gotta get my prom dress. Got invited pretty last minute, so I gotta sell this stuff in the next week. So if anyone here spins or wants something to jam to their vinyl with.. Hit me up. Either comment or email me @ xlibsterx@yahoo.com or califxrnia on aim.

If you know someone or are in the Michigan party scene and you were at club whats next in Flint for the party "Getting Lucky" Please send a copy of your ticket or other charges to this E-mail address.
msegesta@sbcglobal.net

If you were there and saw drug planting on party goers by the police please inform the E-mail adress above or isntant message the name rabddbit on AIM.

It is vital that we not allow the Flint police to bully us and try and railroad us around to the point where we forget what our rights are.

Club Whats Next is a legal club and for those of you who were there *some of you for the FIRST time* who recived the frequenting a drug house ticket its important that you see that this is a far reach from the truth and mockery of justice to the furthest extent.

Please, by all means, make people aware of the atrocity that has taken place. Post this in your own journals because this isnt just about Michigan ravers, or the 130 people there that night, its about us all and our rights.

Hello!

I'm WhenIsNow from Battle Creek, Michigan.
Short-time raver, long-time lover of love.

I haven't heard of or looked for (:p) info on Michigan raves in about two years and I'm wondering if the scene still exists. Is there any communities, sites, or locations where I can catch some info?

Thanks for your help.

WICKED on Oct. 31, brought to you by Deep Blue productions in association with Elysium Entertainment and J-Dub Productions:

Location: Expo Five
2900 South 7th street rd.
Louisville, KY 40216
If you need directions use mapquest or call: 502-636-FLEA

$15 presale, $20 at the door. Tickets are available online at www.groovetickets.com . Tickets will also be available at Better Days Records in Louisville (thank you Kevin) and 808 Records in Lexington.

Doors open at 10:00pm and the party is over at 5:00am.

There won't be any costume contests, but I will probably end up getting drunk and pointing people out over the microphone, so wear something cool. If you're NOT dressed up there will be an extra charge of $5. As Shiva said, this is Halloween, dammit.

There will be NO drugs, weapons, alchohol, open containers, glowsticks, etc. allowed at the event. Anyone found to possess any of said items will be given 30 seconds to run and will then be shot in the back by my sidekick, Johnny Dingo. Trust me, he never misses.
